(too old to reply)

Just wondering if there is any way of removing the default telstra option
for when you disable call diverts to messagebank yet callers still hear "the
person you are calling is not available/busy to leave a return message
xxxxx"

I know you can call telstra directly just wondering if there is any other
way of disabling it?

Regards,

Ian.

No ,the only way is to contact 125111, they can replace it with a " the
mobile phone you are calling is switched off or not in a mobile service
area" message. There was a 0418 70X XXX number that gave you that message
but I don't think that's its available anymore. I am sure that MJE will know
more.

I wish this feature was available on CDMA as well, but Telstra say it
can't be done.

see what happens.

Unfortunately, you would probably have to pay diversion charges :-(

Here's an interesting link:
http://www.accesscomms.com.au/testnumb.htm

IME, the 12722 numbers are free from any charges (if you're on telstra), so
diverting to them should not incur charges either.

Simply pick the recorded message you like the most, and divert your line to
it "on busy".

If you simply wanted the busy tone, divert your phone on busy to 12722 40007

Regards,

Dave

My guess would be that they'll introduce it right after they introduce
outbound international roaming on CDMA. :-)

All three RVAs "switched off" "busy" etc etc are still free and available.
They are all 0418 707 numbers.

Does any one want them?

I dont believe so, its a internal divert in there system which you could
probably set and pay diversions for, if they do it you wouldnt pay the
diversions as the system does it instead of account based..
